Weaving Time

After many months of searching, I have a loom. It is a 4 shaft, 47 inch, Glimakra Standard. It has the jacks for 10 shafts so I will eventually upgraded to 10 shaft.
I had to drive 900 kilometer (round trip) to get it and it was so worth the trip. Now I just have to pick a project and do warp it.
Every time I walk by the room I have to stop and touch it. It is just so beautiful.
On the knitting front, I’ve stated re-knitting Merilyn’s stole. You can see it hanging from my beautiful new loom. Also the raspberry number has been blocked and I like the way it looks. I just have to pick a yarn that is not discontinued and re-knit it.

Does this mean that all lace knitters have a 47" Glimakra Standard loom? Mine is exactly like yours! Congrats! It is a wonderful loom. If you need help with tie up and things go to Glimakra USA. Joanne has great instructions. Keep us posted.
Wow. That is a gorgeous loom!
Beautiful loom! Congratulations. I know you will do it justice.
Coming from a non-weaver, Gorgeous! Enjoy! Terry
Congratulations to your new loom! Of course the best looms come from Sweden! ;) Now you made me long for mine that just stands in a cellar, collecting dust.
I also have the Glimakra Standard - and it is a wonderful loom. I bought mine used and have had it for 20+ years - I still love it. Of course now I have 5 SAORI looms and am using them most of the time, but I still love my 'Standard'.
Happy Weaving,
Terri
